Chai Sai,anytime is chai time!

“A cup of tea is an excuse to share great thoughts with great minds”

Chai sai is a hidden gem, located in the prime location of Karama, Dubai, serving  desi fusion parathas and wide variety of tea. Chai sai is one such, which came up with the concept of home delivery and on the go-grab eatery.

On a sunny Friday afternoon, I knocked their doors, after a lot of people talking about this vibrant joint. I must admit, it was a well-spent afternoon. After all, who expects to find a new hangout place that serves breakfast to dinner and satiate tea lovers?

Orange wall, high chairs, cartoon wallpaper, bright colored frames with food quotes is sufficient to trigger the foodie in you. It doesn’t matter how big or spacious the facility is, as long as it servers the best food and lets you feel at home.

When asked my host, Mr. Manoj about Chai Sai concept, enthusiastically expressed his passion and ideas behind it, some new experiments and some taken from childhood memories.

I asked Mr. Manoj to suggest me my order and he knew what was best for me and my husband. He first brought us drinks, I took nimbu pani and hubby was curious to try Fanta shake.

Initially, like you all , I wondered what could Fanta shake taste like but it was the best version of fanta I have tried. Though I am not a great fan of fanta, I highly recommend this.

Nimbu pani was refreshing and tasted just perfect for a summer afternoon, left me craving for more.

Not more than a couple of minutes of waiting, our parathas reached our table in decent proportions, piping hot and a small cup of yummy dip. First came in the pizza paratha for me and for hubby Masala omelette from Love for Anda section.

The best was to define Pizza Paratha is, “An inside out pizza”. I loved the pizza filling in a crispy thin layer of paratha, went so well with the dip served.

Hubby was a little skeptical before he tried the Masala omelette, not understanding how omelette can be stuffed in a paratha. His expression was worth watching when he took the first bite of it. He was feasting on it and I could see the child him excited about what he was eating.

Then came in the hot Chilly Garlic Cheese Paratha and my personal favourite Cheese n Jalapeno Paratha.

Chilli Garlic Cheese was spicy, hot and tasted desi, I am sure it tastes great with Yogurt and  requires no sides to enhance the taste.

Cheese n Jalapeno is a Indo-Mexican paratha, like Mexico wrapped in India. This is complete by itself needing no sides or dips.

Next came in the star, BURGER PARATHA. Kudos to great minds who came up with the idea of amalgamating burger and paratha. Loved the yummy patty between the thick paratha wedges.

Nutella paratha and kit kat rolls were our desserts, absolutely sinful. Hubby liked nutella paratha while kit kat rolls became my favorite.

For Chai, I called for Pudina Adrak and hubby went with Adrak chai, his all time favourite. Mr. Manoj informed me that the tea is made using fresh milk and is made to order each time, which was evident in the taste.

Chai Sai will turn ONE in a few days and the owners have big plans for its future. The Menu shall have more ‘tried, tested and tasted’ items. Definitely a place for quick grabs or hangout with friends and family over parathas and chai.

My Recommendations:

Nimbu Pani

FANTA shake

Burger paratha

Cheese n Jalapeno

KIT KAT rolls

Pudina Adrak Chai
