Grand Barbeque Express- Feast in a box.

When it comes to Entertainment, Shopping and Tourist attractions, Dubai can never fail; similarly when it comes to food, Grand Barbeque can never disappoint. Grand Barbeque Buffet, after a  great launch of the feast menu has come up with lunch-box delivering to your doorstep.

Grand Barbeque Express delivers delicious varieties elegantly in a wide box. Lunch box has a lot of options to choose from and luckily, vegetarians like me has options too.

From the two vegetarian options; Veg Combo and Veg Chinese, I chose Veg Combo which offers Salad, Spicy Paneer Tikka for Starters, choice between Biryani or Streamed rice, Naan or Roti for Mains along with Chef special Veg Kadai and Dal Tadka. For desserts its either Jamun or Firnee. I chose Jamun, my favorite.

Salads came with the mix of fresh vegetables tossed in Indianized pickles dip, crunchy and apptizing.

Spicy Paneer Tikka for starters was made to perfection. Soft silky paneer in spicy mariande, barbecued on all sides made me crave for more and reminded me how enticing it was once my dinner at Grand Barbeque restaurant.

The Chef Special Veg Kadai is truly special as it was richly made with vegetables tossed in generously spiced base gravy and was scrumptious with the rotis.

Dal Tadka with Biryani rice was more like home-made and is comfort food to most of us. Isn’t it great to have Dal n Biryani rice on a tiresome day at work? Dal Tadka was aptly spiced and the dal had a smooth texture. It’s said that Tadka plays a major role while cooking and I completely agree to it. Tadka enhances the taste and adds a punch to the dal making it a great deal with rice.

Jamun comes in two medium sampler size and I honestly didn’t want to share it with anyone. The sugar syrup was in perfect consistency, so was the sweetness. Jamuns were well soaked in the sugar syrup and it was tender and spongy.

This box is huge for one person and must find a partner to share. It comes in generous amounts and is for sure worth the price, which once again, is affordable. A veg combo costs Aed. 25, while the other combos are priced on a scale between Aed.25 to Aed.30.

Delivery is on time and there is no hustles regarding the location. Best thing is when the delivery guy talks to you with a smile and tells you to enjoy your meal.

Grand Barbeque Express also launched Handi Biryani, of which I called for veg sampler. Interestingly, it comes in a wide mouth matka giving a earthy flavor to it. It’s quite big and can easily be shared with 2 persons.  Biryani was filled with generous amount of vegetables spiced up well, not greasy, warm and tasty very morsel.

Biryani is accompanied by a small cup of Raita, yogurt based cold dip mixed with finely chopped cucumbers. It tasted great but the quantity served for the amount of biryani was not proportionate. Otherwise, Handi biryani is eye catching, bountiful, yummy and authentic.
