Barbeque Nation, founded in 2006, pioneered the concept of live grills embedded on the dining tables for a complete dining experience. Its season time in Dubai and the weather’s got pleasant, which means its time for outdoors, warm clothes, hot tea and of course barbeque. Right timing, Barbeque Nation has taken baby steps to serve the people of Dubai, the real barbeque on a dining table.
Barbeque Nation is close to my heart, my cousins and I have had some great dining experiences in India and its always nice to spend time grilling food, chatting and sharing.
Barbeque Nation is located at Al Barsha, next to HQ Fitness, near Lulu Mall, easy to locate, parking in ample availability. I was here for dinner recently and in a few seconds, the ambiance, service, smoke and the background score took me back to India.
What really makes me happy about Barbeque nation is, they give equal importance to vegetarians like me and its shall let me take call again and once more.
Ambiance is warm, cozy and family-friendly, staff are outstandingly pleasure to be around, constantly paying attention to our taste preferences. We were greeted and lead to a table, letting us begin the grill journey.
As soon as we settled, the charcoal filled grilling box was fixed and the waiter offered to bring both veg and non-veg appetizers.
For vegetarians, they serve green border plates for the understanding of veg food to be served. Interesting isn’t it?
I was served Indonesian grilled veg, Tandoori Mushrooms, Honey Chilli Pineapples, Paneer Mirch Masala on the grill and Dahi Ke Kebab,Cajun Spiced Potatoes and crispy corn from their kitchen. My partner was served prawns and chicken in the grill. The concept is, you are served unlimited grills, followed by a wide spread buffet.
My love for crispy corn never ends and the Cajun spiced potatoes were at its best. Dahi ke Kebab can be better while the Indonesian grilled veg and Honey Chilli Pineapples was scrumptious.
As I was still floating in the memories of dinner with my cousins, I requested the waiter if watermelon grill was available and Hurrah! it was brought to my grill box in no time. Amazing right? The staff are all well worst with Barbeque Nation, who worked in various branches across India. Their manager is down to earth was on frequent check on us to know if we are enjoying our food.
Barbeque nation serves fresh fruit juices, canned juice and also some of the finest mocktails. We called for Mojito and a berry drink, must admit, they were very refreshing and luscious.
The restaurant is wide, with the occupancy to accommodate more than 100 people at a go, of course giving privacy to each table.
I was almost full after 2 rounds of Grills and had to save space for the delicious buffet and most importantly desserts and the star of Barbeque nation, Kulfi. So turned down the flag to stop.
From the buffet, I tried Banarasi dum aloo, Mutter methi malai and Dal makhani from the Dal section, with butter roti and garlic naan and a small portion of veg biryani. Every dish I tried here was simply delicious and couldn’t stop stuffing.
For desserts, I tried Chocolate brownie, Phirni, and kulfi. I loved the phirni and wished I was left with more space it. Brownie was fluffy anf perfectly made. Kulfi was the star as i mentioned earlier.
Over all, Barbeque Nation is something one must try in large groups and take it to another level since the weather is pleasant and its time for Barbeque.
