When there is so much buzz about a restaurant about not just the food but the ambiance itself, its quit natural to be curious, isn’t it? “Bean There Bistro” is one such place that I was not only curious to try but I took forever to visit.
Bean There Bistro is in Millenium Airport Hotel, Garhoud, serving some of the finest varieties from salads to deserts, while keeping vegetarians like me in consideration. This is not just special for the tasty food but, as well for the extensive mono- teak wood bar counter, vertical garden that needs no help, wide collection of books, outdoor seating, Karoke night… Hmmm! now that sounds interesting right?
I was invited by Mr. Surenraja Mohan, the kindest soul I have ever met in my life. He is someone who spreads positive vibes and connects to every soul that walks in. I was not only happy to meet him but I learnt that wearing a 100 watts smile is the best thing one must do.
As usual, I was at Bean There Bistro with my Mr. Right for brunch on a Friday. He was as usual happy to try new things. Lucky to have found a foodie partner..!
Mr. Suren welcomed us with warmth and we instantly relaxed like at home. The restaurant has the vibe of poetic inspiration, perfect for reading books with a cup of coffee or a heart-to-heart talk over the meal.
We were given a wooden notepad; their newly launched menu. It reminded me of my board exams, how beautiful life was..! Nostalgia……
I had informed my waitress and Mr.Suren that my Hubby and I are vegetarians. It was a pleasant surprise that they were happy to keep us at our comfort zones without making any eliminations or alterations in their orginal menu. That implies they have varieties for vegetarians on the menu to choose from. Thanks to the Management team for being so considerate to Vegetarians.
We ordered for fresh orange juice and mint lemonade for drinks. From sandwich section, I was curious to try their signature dish The Bean There sandwich. For pastas, I went with Linguine Alfredo and from Manakish section, hubby chose Cheese and Zaatar. From all our favorite section- The Desserts, I chose my all time favored Carrot cake and hubby said he wants Red velvet cake because he had seen a lot of insta posts about it.
Service was quick and we did not wait long before the delicious spread reached our table. Orange juice and Mint Lemonade tasted great. And now that the weather is getting warmer in Dubai, my advise is to order these life-saving drinks
The Bean There Sandwich was brought us and our eyes twinkled looking at the presentation. This is exactly why I prefer signature dishes. The chef knows what he is presenting to the customers, and that’s exactly why it is called a Signature dish, isn’t it? This is a must try here. Fluffy bread slice, topped or rather decorated with finely chopped cherry tomatoes and fresh herbs is not only photogenic but tastes even better.
Next we were served Cheese and Zaatar Manakish, fresh and warm. Perfectly made and had an authentic touch to it.
I was looking forward to my comfort food, Pasta! Piping hot linguine smeared in creamy alfredo sauce and mushrooms, topped with Parmesan cheese. Drooling? We unequivocally fell in love with this dish.
What comes next????? Delightful Desserts. As I said earlier, I had asked for carrot cake and hubby’s choice, the red velvet.
I never expected Carrot cake to look so inviting and innovative, but it was way more delicious, I have to admit that THIS WAS THE BEST CARROT CAKE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY WHOLE LIFE. I shall probably never go anywhere else for Carrot cake, ’cause I know where to head to when I have cravings for this mouth-watering luscious wodge of cake.
Red Velvet cake is everyone’s favorite here. I probably can go on and on with this. A must try not only because its tasty but its really photogenic.
Both the cakes tasted fresh, moist and sweetness hitting the right note. Truly the sweetest indulgence so far.
I am looking forward to the Karoka night with my homies with some sheesha and cocktails. Sounds like a good plan?
